The block is specifically designed for use 1-2 months in advance of the typical FE spore danger period through until the danger period is over, providing additional zinc in the diet prior to zinc treatment. Summit Zinc Salt Block is not a substitute for zinc FE treatment. Additional zinc may also be beneficial for hoof health.
